  • Salary: £Negotiable – depending on experience

The planning team at Ridge has over 25 years of experience and is a great place to work. And due to continuing success, we are now looking to grow our Planning Team even further with the recruitment of an ambitious Assistant Planner.

Main Duties

  • Provide advice on planning and land use matters to a variety of clients including leading infrastructure providers and commercial developers
  • Responsible for assisting in the preparation and submission of often complex planning applications and appeals
  • Provide assistance with planning applications, site appraisals, planning strategies and development plan representations
  • Offer advice and guidance to clients throughout all stages of the planning process


  • 2.1 at degree level
  • RTPI accredited town planning qualification. (A RICS accredited qualification (planning & development route) would also be acceptable). This will be at Master’s level
  • Planning experience is essential

You will be working on a number of large-scale complex projects so the ability to manage your own time, workload and problem solve is critical. You will have an inquisitive nature, analytical mind and high level of intellect - combining your excellent written and oral skills to produce considered and robust reports and recommendations
