The Housing and Planning Act gained Royal Ascent on 12th May 2016. One of the main objectives of the Act is to increase the number of newly built homes and improve the overall affordability of home ownership, mainly for first-time buyers. In order to meet this objective a number of changes have been put into place which incorporate the following;

HPP has secured a resolution to grant permission, subject to the signing of a S106 Agreement, for a new flagship building for Hyundai off the Great West Road along the elevated section of the M4. The proposed development will add to the growing cluster of car companies opening showcase dealership facilities along the Great West Road, which include Audi, Mercedes Benz, KIA and VW.

The Insurance Room at Cheltenham Racecourse was full on Friday as people attended, an informative and, at times, passionate and loud debate on the forthcoming European Referendum. HPP, in conjunction with the Cheltenham Chamber of Commerce, hosted the debate on 20th May.

Whiteley Village is set in 225 acres of beautiful Surrey woodland. The Village contains 262 almshouses, a care home and extra care apartments for nearly 500 older people of limited means. The Village is managed by The Whiteley Homes Trust.
The purpose of this consultation is to offer residents and the local community an opportunity to give their views and comments on the draft proposals. We are currently aiming to submit a planning application to Elmbridge Borough Council this summer and would welcome your involvement at this stage.

On 11th May, The Court of Appeal allowed the Secretary of State’s appeal against the judicial review ( EWHC Admin 2222) brought by West Berkshire District Council and the Reading Borough Council.
