On behalf of Octapus Healthcare, Ridge planning team is delighted to have obtained permission for a new residential care home. The planning team at Ridge was responsible for leading the project which is located 1.25 km to the south of Edwalton.
The approved scheme will assist in meeting the need for residential care provision for the growing elderly population in Rushcliffe Borough.
The approved scale, layout and appearance of the care home is of a high quality and will enhance the character and appearance of the street scene whilst offering a good level of amenity for future occupiers. The supporting landscaping infrastructure will complement the development and add to the positive impact the approved scheme will have on the urban landscape. Ridge was able to demonstrate that the scheme is policy compliant.
Ridge was responsible for orchestrating a significant amount of pre-app discussions with the officers at Rushcliffe Borough Council which, in addition to input from the proposed operator, Care UK, influenced the overall design.
