HPP is delighted to be working with Swindon based company, Capital Land Strategic Planning Ltd, on the preparation of the planning applications for the proposed development at Great Stall East within the New Eastern Villages development, which is based on the Eastern edge of Swindon.

It is too early to fully understand the long term impacts of the EU referendum result upon the planning profession. In terms of planning law, most of the laws incorporating European law, in the main, relate to environmental matters. The UK will continue to be bound by them until the Government has officially exited the EU, i.e. 2 years after a notice is given by the UK government under Article 50.

Positive feedback for proposed Buckover Village

Initial plans for a new 191 hectare settlement to the east of Thornbury were presented to town councillors at the end of last month. HPP have outlined a desire to involve residents as well as parish and town councils from the outset. The objective is to build a planned settlement, which is all inclusive, addressing matters of housing, employment and all other principle components that attribute to quality design. The new village would comprise 3,000 dwellings, employment, health, community and education facilities, transportation and communication infrastructure and retail provision.

New flagship car showroom for Hyundai

HPP has secured a resolution to grant permission, subject to the signing of a S106 Agreement, for a new flagship building for Hyundai off the Great West Road along the elevated section of the M4. The proposed development will add to the growing cluster of car companies opening showcase dealership facilities along the Great West Road, which include Audi, Mercedes Benz, KIA and VW.
