Retallack Cornwall - Extension to an existing holiday resort
HPP was responsible for obtaining planning permission from Cornwall Council for an extension to the existing Retallack Resort in Cornwall. Planning permission was obtained for the erection of 334 holiday units, 32 units of staff accommodation and ancillary buildings within the open countryside. The site was the subject of a number of environmental issues (due to its location adjacent to a SSSI), landscape and transportation issues, contamination, archaeology, and matters regarding noise and vibration. As such an EIA was required.
HPP negotiated a Planning Performance Agreement and, despite the complexity of the site, obtained a positive decision in 10 weeks.
